support palestina

Here are a few, relatively easy, ways you can support Palestina and the Palestinians:

  1. Keep talking about Palestina. Share information from https://decolonizepalestine.com/
  2. Boycott the consumers’ products on the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions lists. Check your local branche for country specific brands and products: https://bdsmovement.net/get-involved/what-to-boycott
  3. Donate to a GoFundMe at https://gazafunds.com/ and/or share them. These GFM are vetted. Each time you go to the site, you see a random GFM, so you don’t have to choose. Emphasis is on GFM who are almost complete or are for medical necessities.
  4. Donate eSIMs. Due to the Israeli aggression, this is now the only way for Palestinians in Gaza to keep in contact. The easiest way is to donate to the eSIM project of the Disability Visibility Project: https://disabilityvisibilityproject.com/2023/12/25/crips-for-esims-for-gaza/
  5. Check your locale pro-Palestina groups and see if there’s a way for you to support them in a way that’s suitable for you and them.

And, although you don’t hear/read/see it in the corporate media, there is still resistance against the Israeli murder campaign. Check out Mondoweiss, The Electronic Intifada, or on Telegram @palestina@botsin.space.

[…] At first glance, the recent protests in Amsterdam against the provocative presence of supporters of football club Maccabi Tel Aviv (chant ‘There are no schools in Gaza because there are no children left’) are a hopeful sign. For a start, Israel is not part of Europe at all and has no business in European competitions, be it the Champions League or the Eurovision Song Contest or whatever. It might also not be a bad idea to basically boycott a genocidal apartheid system. But above all, the media could not ignore the fact (football, you know) that there is protest from the people, at a time when governments are en masse turning a blind eye to the genocide in Palestina, and solidarity with the Palestinian people is brutally oppressed (sad low point, of course: Germany). Well, there do remain some small opportunities for individual solidarity. […]
